"Why Crooked Cucumbers Make You Happy" is a charming blend of imaginative short stories and accessible facts about growing and cooking vegetables from your own garden. For this children's book by Karin Hochegger, published by Anton Pustet, we were responsible for both the illustrations and the layout. Beyond the main stories, there are many subplots and details to discover—from insects that only reveal themselves at second glance to a house toad that pops up every now and then. We intentionally avoided perfectionism to create a unique, fun, and exciting world.
